An Accomplishment!

So, Peyton slept the whole night in her bed last night! If you know all the little things about our family, you know this is a big deal. She has been sleeping through the night since she was 6 weeks old, however, she always wakes up around 5am and wants out of her bed. She doesn't care where she is moved to sleep, as long as it's not her bed. Because of her acid reflux, she sleeps propped up on her wedge in a straight jacket (no really). I think she just gets sick of being in there. So, me being the smart mommy that I am, repositioned her this morning at 5am and she finished off the night in her crib. Yeah! Hey, you have to celebrate the little things in life sometimes:) We are all getting used to her constant spitting up and so are our clothes and the furniture. It's gotten a lot better than it used to be, so we'll celebrate that too!

So funny!

So the other day I had some friends over for lunch. The kids were playing, the mommies were eating and Peyton was hanging out in her swing. I look over at her and her headband was over her eyes. It was so funny. She couldn't see, but was trying to peek out under her bow. So cute:)

Is it ok if my 3 month old is as big as my 2 year old?

I was taking pictures of the kids on Peyton's 3 month birthday. She doesn't seem that much smaller than Brayden:) I've been getting comments about how big she has gotten and Travis and I are finally starting to notice. I've told her it's ok to have a few extra rolls here and there because she is still so cute. What can I say except that my kids love to eat (or in Peyton's case, drink milk:)

Weekend at the Cabin

So most people know that my family owns a cabin on Anderson Island. This weekend we went to our cabin with our friends the Nevils. We had so much fun! The weather was actually beautiful on Saturday and we enjoyed the sun at the beach. Brayden spent an hour just throwing rocks into the water. Travis and Jeremy caught a huge clam which was crazy! We also roasted smores by the fire and just relaxed. I personally didn't want to come back to reality, but it's nice to know the cabin is there for the next adventure.

Here we go!

Ok, I said I would never do this, and here we are. I love reading all my friend's blogs and thought it's time to make my own. I'll try to keep up with what's going on with the Metcalfe's. This will hopefully be something I can look back on one day and remember what life was like in 2008. Enjoy:)
